Hi there everyone. My cousins sister is getting married in oct this year and he will be doing his GCSE. Unfortunately he needs to attend the wedding and will need to be off for 2 weeks. Question is will there be any exams held before half term in October, if not, will the school grant permission for this? We are in a tricky situation

I would have a look at the GCSE exam timetables for the exam board that your relative is doing. Edexcel have posted their exam timetable and it does appear that exams start after half term, but this does not guarantee the school will grant permission.
