Hey guys, does anyone know where and how to apply for GCSE English and math exams for home educated children in london wanting to their exams.

Go through the following steps:

1.

Go to the relevant exam board's website

2.

Go to the private candidate section

3.

Find the link for the approved exam centres

4.

Go through a list of exam centres and liaise with the exam officers

5.

Book your exams

When booking your exam, you would note that you would need to pay for the exam fee and the admin fee. The admin fee is set by the individual exam centre (and they tend to be expensive if they're in London). The exam fee is set by the exam board.

Do note, all English Language GCSEs from all exam boards will have an NEA (non-examination assessment) involved. In other words, it will likely to be a bit more expensive if you need this part to be assessed. I would check with each exam centre that you can do this subject with them. See the following:

GCSE Maths on the other hand is 100% exam based, so you can do it pretty much at any exam centre that accepts your booking. See:

Personally, if you're over 16, I would attend your local adult college and do the GCSEs there. That way, you can get them for free and do all of them within the year. It saves you the trouble booking for them and paying for them.

If you want me to help finding exam centres, then I would need the postcode of roughly where you are based. If not, I can give you links to the appropriate sections of the exam boards' websites.
