Economics Finance and Data Science BSc at Imperial
Should I apply for this course? I really love Applied Maths and coding, and in the future I either want to become an Actuary, Data Scientist, or a Quant, so I plan to apply for degrees that give me many options (e.g. MORSE at Warwick and Southampton, Stats Econ and Finance at UCL).
Thing is, Imperial is mainly a STEM university, so I don't know how good it is in regards to Econ and Finance, especially since this degree is relatively new and there's almost no data on it.
There's also the fact that it's apparently ridiculously competitive (35:1 applicants to places ratio).
So, is it a good course to firm?
