Is Mphil development studies at Cambridge worth it?

I got an offer for the MPhil in development studies at Cambridge and I'm torn. the course seems really interesting, but an MPhil seems very academia-oriented and I'm not 100% sure I want to pursue a PhD after. Is a Cambridge degree really the door-opener that everyone seems to think it is? or will I be left in debt and jobless either way? My other option would be to continue studying in the Netherlands, which is great value for money but lacks a lot of the theoretical aspects that attract me to the MPhil. I'm essentially curious as to whether the MPhil will pay off. I know everyone sees it differently, but I'm looking to hear more about the course and the life at Cambridge from fellow students...
