Not necessarily for pharmacy - it simply shows you have looked deeper and gives you something to talk about, especially when they ask you: "Why pharmacy?"
It is hard to get work exp in pharmacy, be this hospital or community, and the lecturers realise this and it won't go against you in the selection process.
