AS AQA English Lang/Lit Combined - 15/05/09

I'm not too worried about this exam, I know the books well, characters and theme's; plus getting the book itself in the exam reassures me.
What let's me down is my range of literary/dramatic and linguistic techniques to analyse.
I try higher order techniques by investigating how the writers mirror spontaneous speech e.g. back channel behaviour and I always try and look at politness principles and adjacency pairs BUT WHAT CAN I DO?

I'd love someone to give me a list of other tecniques I could look at, literary, linguistic and dramatic techniques.

THANKS GUYS and GOOD LUCK

I struggle with this, too.
I know things like Grice's Maxims, turn-taking and all that, but I really struggle.
Any ideas? Anyoe? HALP! :P
