Help with excel formulas

i have an exam tomorrow and i'm still unfamiliar with a few excel things.
1. how do i create a formula with today’s date (but not time) and if the day is an even number its green but if its not even then its red?
2. what would the formula be which tells me what the day is for the 14th of every month?
3. if i have a cell with tomorrows date in it how can i create a formula which based on that cell, will tell me what the last date of next month will be?
4. how do i get say cell a2 to equal cell a1 without writing 'equals a1'?
5. say i have two columns and in one it has the name of a person and corresponding to that in the next column is the persons salary. if elsewhere in that sheet there is a row of the peoples name, how to i get the relevant salary from the columns with the names and salaries to the row with the names?
i hope that makes sense. i am really worried about the exam!
