I am new on this forum. I'm form Poland and I would like to study physics in Oxford. However I don't know what should I do to get there. I'm 19 now, and after summer I'll start studying in Warsaw University of Technology. What kind of courses should I finish to next year to get to Oxford?

So you're going to another university first? Why do you want to do a second undergraduate degree at Oxford? Or are you looking at postgraduate?

In Poland Physics isn't popular - it's easy to get on physics. Is it easy to get on Physics in Oxford or Cambridge?

I really doubt it. Even if Physics isn't very popular nowadays, at Cambridge you have to apply for Natural Sciences (encompassing all the science subjects), so this would be irrelevant. Plus Cambridge has the best reputation for science in the country. At the risk of sounding biased, it may be slightly less competitive at Oxford, but still no walk in the park.

That's not entirely true. You are correct that Cam do not do a straight Physics degree and 'generally' they are considered to be more sciency and Oxford more arty, but if someone knows that they want to study Physics and not spend a couple of years doing a broader spectrum of study, then Oxford is definitely better than Cambridge. There is no difference between the competitiveness of Cam & Oxford. Cambridge take Natural Scientists who have to be strong all rounders whereas Oxford Physicists have to be specialists from their first term and are usually more focused students with stronger mathematical ability.

I'm afraidf I can't really give advice to this particular applicant as I too am confused as to whether they're talking about Postgrad application or not
