My Dad has just bought me 'The official British Army Fitness Guide' book and it has some useful exercises on how to improve my strength and fitness.
It would be interesting to see how many press-ups you guys can do within 2 minutes (boys and girls). The book has a table that is a good indicator of upper body muscular endurance and i'll write it up so you can see how good you are after a few of you have posted how many you have done!
So get doing your Press-ups soldier!

under 30 yrs old
for boys... excellent = 72+ very good = 53-71 (made a typo here earlier but now its corrected) good = 44-52 average = 34-43 below average = 0-33
for girls.... excellent = 55+ very good = 38-54 good = 29-37 average = 21-28 below average = 0-20
