Significance of the National Citizens Service

Hello!

I am considering taking part in the NCS ( https://nationalcitizenservice.direct.gov.uk/? ) for the sole purpose of putting it on my CV. Is it significant? Will it help with Uni?

I want to do LAW by the way.
Hey Duct,

I was on the NCS last summer as a peer mentor and had a great time!
It is a voluntary programme which focuses on their personal and social development which is good for your CV and something to talk about in your UCAS applications.

If you want to do LAW at university, you can tell your peer mentors that this is your interest and they can implement sessions where you can meet people in that area and create a social action project like that. Maybe joining with the police, or having a talk on criminal law and the youth justice system.

If you did not do it this summer, they are redoing the scheme again for the autumn period but for a shorter length of time.
