When is the best time to look for a part time job? When the students go home?

I live in quite a metropolitan city, looking for a part time job over the summer..when is the best time to hand out cvs or apply? Is it mid may? as many students are going home i'm guessing there will be quite a few vacancies, i'm looking for a part time retail job..thanks :smile:

I would start handing them out now. If students are going home and leaving their jobs over the summer then employers will want to hire new people before they leave so that they can train the new staff so they are ready to replace the old staff when they leave.
