what are good book to use for studying for BMAT exams?
I don't think any books are particularly good tbh - past papers are much better and for the science section, they publish an e book for free on the BMAT website. You can also have a go at some A-Level Thinking Skills/Critical Thinking papers or TSA papers as they're fairly helpful for Section 1.

The BMAT website has got great links to online revision resources. If you click on Preparing For BMAT, you'll find a page with specimen & past papers.
You can also download a BMAT test specification, and BMAT test guide in PDF format.
As getting a place at medical school is so competitive, you really want to do as best as possible in the BMAT (as we're sure you know!).
So, we would advise that you really take the time to go through all of the learning resources on the official site carefully.
Saying that, the BMAT takes place on 2nd November 2016 - you've got ages to prepare! If you've got school/uni exams before this, you should focus on those instead. Maybe only spend an hour a week just familiarising yourself with the BMAT, what kind of questions it entails etc.
Then, as the test date gets closer (but don't leave it too late!), ramp up the revision!
