feminists want the same kind of miserable "equality" that socialists want - not equality in its objective and neutral meaning, but equality that is regardless of principles like deservedness, merit, fairness, etc. if we're all equal from birth, then all we require for pure equality that is merited is merely equal rights. nothing more. if men outperform women, or if women outperform men, then that's meaningless. if we develop a culture where women are "objectified", or a culture where men are expendable, then that's insignificant to equality in the truest sense.
if you feel that it is unfair for people to get given value or utility on the basis of their existence (socialism), then you'll happily accept modern day (radical) feminism, because you're not interested in human individual freedom or responsibility - all you will care about is how we end up. if one group does better, you will want to see them do worse simply for the sake of those they outcompete. that's not about equality of rights, that's about equality of everybody living under a line. a line that says "you're not allowed to be better, even if you deserve to be better from your own hard work, individually or collectively".
