I'm being blackmailed just now - HELP

Okay I know I'm the dumbest person on the planet. This girl added me on facebook and we were talking and she was trying to sext me and ask to video. I didn't at first cause I thought it would be weird but she was sending pics and kept trying to video call so I eventually just picked up. I ended up doing it back and then she played back a video of me and blackmailed me. Saying if I didn't send money she'd send it to my family and friends...The details she sent for the money is for Ivory Coast is there anything I can do? I already told the family members I have shown on facebook to block her if she appears but she/he could just send again from a different account? What do I do? It may be a bluff but don't want to take that chance

You can report it to the police. If you're under 18 it is illegal to show that or post it.
Or you can just tell your friends and family what's happened although it might be embarrassing atleast they'll know.
If worse comes to worst, deactivate your facebook.

I'm not under 18 and if they live in Ivory Coast police can't do anything?
Deactivating facebook doesn't stop them contacting people either. Don't want to tell them either

The police will not care. it is done by some guy far away and it would take too much time and money to put him away.

Only advice I can give is DO NOT SEND ANY MONEY.

best of luck to you

Just tell the police and they can deal with it.

Reminds me of this tragic case.

Were you nude? Did you actually proper see the girl during the video chat? How much money is she asking you?

Yes really tragic he didnt ask an adult as he would still be alive today.
She was asking for £1500, I'm already skint, I said I'd pay £50 and that's it. I sent it to her by western union and deleted and blocked her. Also told my family to block her if she tries to add them

Hope the person just ****s off now.
Tell the police and don't pay them. There's absolutely no way of knowing for certain that they'll delete it or won't ask you for more money if you do pay and it's perfectly possible that they'll do nothing if you refuse to pay.

Is this an actual REAL girl ..or just some African scammer

have you seen her on webcam or something?
You can do this.

1. Deactivate your Facebook asap. The person behind this most likely doesn't have an offline version of your friends and so won't get any access to your friends list. You could also change your privacy settings. But i think Deactivating is best.

2. For heaven's sake, don't send any money. This is a typical scam and I'm almost certain the person behind it isn't going to come true with their threat. He/she has other potential dupes requiring his attention.

Man up and call their bluff. Claim to have told your fam about it and that you just don't care.

I wish you the best mate.
Just delete your account, she has no way of contacting you or your friends/family and never send money to them. You're just 1 person out of millions, why does she think that your nudes would hurt you when there are millions of porn stars doing the exact same thing? Ignore her, silly girl - don't let her get to you.

That's stupid. You shouldn't have sent him any money. Anyway - in situations like that you need to act AS IF YOU DON'T CARE. You should've just said whatever, send it to everyone, make me into a ****ing amateur pornstar if you want. He'd probably leave you alone then.
why on earth send them money? it will only encourage them to ask for more.

It's a girl but not the one shown. The facebook account had tons of pics and said it was oklahoma. But it's an african scammer, still a girl going by the banking details. On video chat there was a white girl in it but I think it was prerecorded

I sent 50. It's not a lot of money and I told them it was all I had so hopefully they accept they got something and move on. I also said I told my family to block her. I've already deleted, blocked and reported the account but hope they don't come back using another one.

I just not going to add any accounts of people I don't know from now on
