This might not seem like a big problem for most people, but it’s a rather embarrassing one for me.
My stomach is always rumbling. It’s not because I’m hungry, because sometimes it rumbles just after I’ve eaten, so it can't be that.
The problem here is it starts to rumble and make a loud noise when everything is quite, in exams for instance, or in lectures/seminars. Usually it's fine, but as soon as the room goes quiet, Bam! My stomach will start to rumble and it's embarrassing because i think people might be thinking 'ughh she just farted!'
Then i have to start rusting papers and coughing to cover the noise. It's quite loud, and makes a weird sound like air churning around inside my stomach. When it starts to rumble i can't concentrate on my work, and try and stop it from making noise, usually by taking long breaths like pregnant people do during contractions.
sometimes i fold my arms and press them on my stomach and it helps for a little while.
Is this normal? Does it happen to a lot of people? and is there anything i can take to stop it from making such a loud noise?...
The weird thing is, when I’m alone or at home, it doesn’t make a noise, it's quiet, but as soon as i go into uni or I’m around people, it starts to growl, and i get very embarrassed and just want the ground to swallow me up.
tl;dr : Stomach rumbles/growls very loudly, how can i stop it?
