Have a Fair Trade Christmas

Me and my girlfriend have decided, for presents this year for our families to give them something that will help others and make them happy. So far!

For my mum we have bought stuff from Oxfam and donated money in her name to feed a family. We have also got a bag made from recycled plastics (it's pretty damn nice and fair trade)

We have another 8 presents to buy. Any ideas?

Your thinking about christmas already?! 11 weeks early man.

Also, what a crap idea, why not buy stuff which they want/need? Not a new car or owt, but a I cant see anyone being pleased at being given a goat, which will live in Africa and you'll never see, before the inevitable happens and it ends up being eaten.

Some people aren't as materialistic as others :tongue:

We're thinking about it now because then we can spend little money over time, rather than being SKINT towards Christmas. Makes more sense to me to be honest.

I think its a great idea! a lot o people will be pleased that someone who has basically nothing will have a slightly easier life! I know i would be! But then i also know a lot of people who think about ther own short term gain over others hardships.

Also yes, its a good idea to start thinjing about xmas now. I have started, and i am buying one christmas preasent a week, so it feels less intimidating by spreading out the cost.
