Taking off: So is it clutch THEN gas or gas THEN clutch? Are cars different?

from what you've said, it seems like a swap from diesel to petrol. the main difference is that a diesel car will move on the clutch, so you can clutch then accelerate to move away smoothly, but a petrol needs gas and clutch at the same time, or you'll stall. i learnt in a diesel, passed in a diesel now drive a petrol car, so i had to get used to the swap but after i took my test. i actually prefer driving petrol cars now. it's just practice to get used to it!
did you have trouble stalling your fiat, I learn to drive in a Citroen but I own a fiat 500 sport. the clutch is completely different. in the Citroen I lifted my clutch up and it moves I could use clutch control. but on my fiat I stall as I cant seem to find the biting point?
