Depends what kind of girl you want to attract!

A nice tracksuit always does the job. Make sure the trainers are brilliant white though are you won't get the desired appreciation.

Shirt (undo the first button!) and jeans...erm... dunno about shoes. I must pay more attention in the future. Don't wear a round neck t-shirt if you're fat- not saying that you are or anything, but these make well fed tummies particularly obvious.

I like guys with suits *sigh*. But then that probably wouldn't work just walking down the street. And them in kurtas.

Basically, men in formalwear = *drool*

Casualwear, I'd say sweaters/shirts (yknow- the dorky look!). Nothing checked *urgh*. I have an aversion to baseball caps. Shirts unbuttoned at top, not tucked in (so sort of smart-casual look). I really should pay more attention to what men wear. I like metros.

I'm not a girl, but for you I'd say vertical striped shirts? They're still in and they make you look longer. I always roll up the sleeves and leave them untucked. It gives you a dressed up, but relaxed look. Also, avoid boot cut jeans, as at 5'6 they'll sort of give you the Gumbi look. Straight legged are best, but never tapered.

some people look funny in yellow, though...

i wouldn't say there was a colour preference among girls, just look reasonably nice. jeans, polo shirts, t-shirts, button up shirts - these are all good.

however, avoid:

a) anoraks and large fleeces, unless you particularly want to look like men who spend their saturday evenings browsing the 'erotic' section in their local bookstore.

b) t-shirts with really crap things written on them.

...and that's all i can think of. honestly, blokes have it so easy...

In Italy the guys pluck their eye brows, always have the newest hair cut, are really brown and fit and wear really nice, tight fitting t-shirts, tight jeans and cool shades :biggrin:

(well, most of them - the ones I notice at least :p:

) - I'm still not sure if those who wear pink t-shirts are gay or not as they all look kind of gay anyway with their plucked eyebrows and immaculate clothing :rolleyes:

But genearlly I think shirts look better than t-shirts. Jeans and shirts are best of all. For winter though I like v-neck jumpers with no shirt underneath.

But really as others have said, if you don't look like a complete bum and are really nice then I couldn't care less what you wear really. :smile:

that sounds like a good style! personally i like some guys in pink :| got to be the right pink though, to look sexy, not gay. i prefer shirts to t-shirts too
