Work experience doesn't add much since most of the time it's irrelevant.
Work experience is the edge in the jobs market we now find ourselves in, many qualify with 2.1 and AAA in A level, it sets you apart from the competition and enhances you're confidence.

It is more difficult to find than at university, but I recommend the large banks offices which do oeprations/risk. Try HSBC, I had a placement recently in their invoice finance section and very highly recommend it. Was in a board meeting, finance manager trainee course, excel spreadsheet work and shadowing/discussions with departments, did a presentation at the end about what I learned about the business model!

Bank offices rather than branches, local accountants, financial advisors. Some stockbrokers and economist forecasters have A level programmes too.

Also thebrokerage.org.uk (links students to London employers).

Good luck

Don't bother about it. It won't add much to your application, and really you won't ever be able to get something relevant at this stage.
