Another 'What University' thread!

Ok, So I'm wanting to do a Classics degree, but I'm not that interested in learning Latin or Greek, so I'm just going to apply for Ancient History courses.

I have 2 certain in my mind, Oxford and Durham. That would be doing the Ancient and Modern History course at Oxford and Ancient History at Durham.

As for the rest, I do not want to go to London or Nottingham so we can rule 3 good Classics unis out.

From what I'm left with it seems like Bristol, Exeter and St Andrews and maybe Warwick are the best choices. I already have 3 As at A level, so I don't need to be concerned with hedging my bets for a backup uni incase my grades don't meet the required standard. What would people suggest?

Cheers.

I hear St Andrews is a nice place.

Hehe, no bias there?

In all honesty though, I've heard people say it's too quiet and that it's quite snobbish- but this is coming from Scottish people going to Dundee, Edinburgh and Glasgow universities- not actually talked to anyone at St Andrews. What would you say?
