Exeter, Warwick or Nottingham for Psychology

After my first choice rejected me I've been finding it hard to decide out of my final choices. The advice of my teachers and fellow students seems to be at odds with the league tables.

My final offers were:

Exeter - AAA
Warwick - AAB + B at my extra AS
Nottingham - AAB

Nottingham is growing on me but I feel like that is probably the weakest choice out of the three.

Anyone got any advice?

In terms of the best course Id pick Exeter. At their post offer open day it sounded brilliant and they have alot of support for Psychology students with good work experience oppotunities.

Trust me, among the three you listed, Exeter is the best and so the required grades are the highest due to very keen competition. The Department is of top quality with very approachable staff, good facilities. Learning there is so much fun and full of challenges.

As for Nottingham ( reputation in Psychology declining ) and Warwick ( Psychologhy is never their strong subject ) , there is little difference in placing one ahead the other.

Am I right in thinking you're an applicant? I would probably state that before giving others advice.

If you want my honest opinion on Warwick, feel free to pm.
my face when Exeter uses a 1.5T scanner for research purposes..

Sorry if I have misled you and I am actually studying Psychology now at Exeter. I did do some research on a few universities I was interested in before I applied.

Nah it's fine, it's just that everyone has a bias towards/against one uni or other, might as well be open and honest about the reason why.

I take it it's one of the best, then? For unis in this country, anyway?

Not that I'm aware of.

I just found it odd that a department would invest in a 1.5T scanner for research purposes when 3T is generally the standard. 1.5T are slower and have relatively poor anatomical resolution needed for research.

I just went to Exeter's post offer open day yesterday and I think I'll definitely put that as my firm choice. So I guess now it's just between Nottingham and Warwick. The only worry I had was employability as I hadn't really heard anything about Exeter before I applied and I knew Warwick was a well respected uni, but I suppose anyone who would be employing me will probably know which unis are preferable in terms of subject rather than in general.

Nottingham post offer open day on the 13th April and then I guess I'll be ready to decide! Thank you all for your comments

There aren't really any 'psychology' companies, so I'm not sure which employers would really know the psych league tables. It is more of an issue for post grad courses and even then, league tables can change quite a bit in three years. Go for whichever one you think you will do best at.
It depends what you're interested in really! I've just firmed Exeter for Psychology because the course specialised in aspects that really interest me (such as clinical, animal behaviour etc...) and the other modules struck me as things that I would really find interesting and would like to do.
On the other hand, when I was at the open day, they gave some really useful advice for choosing universities and that was that it isn't enough to have a good degree from a good uni, what really counts in terms if your employability is the wealth of activities and experiences on your cv. So choose a uni with a course you love but where you'll feel comfortable and at home so you want to go out and involve yourself as much as possible in the uni experience
