Re: Art applicants for 2012 entryWell done!! So pleased for you. Best wishes for getting into Chelsea! I think I remember you have the interview around 20th April?(Original post by Princeling)
OH MY GOD GUYS so I found le internet in my Yangshuo hotel tonight and I got a track change email and my heart instantly fell, because I was so certain I had gotten a rejection from Goldsmiths. I didn't feel like my interview had gone particularly well or anything.
And then, trololol: Goldsmiths BA Fine Art, conditional. 8'D A university loves me! I'm not forever alone!
My first choice is actually Chelsea, but this still makes me so happy, haha.
They must have sent me a letter, I suppose. Is that what you guys got? I'm in China right now so I haven't seen my mail yet.
Anyway, emotional moment over. Congratulations to (I believe) glitter_ever and Ham_Sandwich, who also got into Goldsmiths, and Farout for being increeeeedible and getting into Slade. <3 you guys, so much happiness for you.
Thankyou, maybe see you at Goldsmiths in September if you don't go to Chelsea!
Glad you got such good news I know how you feel, I got the news on my flat balcony in London after having a really emotionally bad day, had a panic attack that day and everything, got a UCAS update and thought, here's a reject to top it off.. so when I got the news on my phone it felt doubly sweet! And yes you should get a letter, saying along the lines of 'congratulations, we are delighted to tell you etc... this is a great achievement, we hope you choose goldsmiths'. I've had soooo many letter's in the past that start 'we regret to inform you' so i did stare at it a while

Re: Art applicants for 2012 entryCongratulations it really does doesn't it.. hope you've suitably rewarded yourself in some way!(Original post by KED)
My final procrastination is over.... I've firmed Camberwell, insurance CSM, declined Chelsea... having certainty, finally, feels soooooo good

Re: Art applicants for 2012 entryWill you be doing the BFA or the BA?(Original post by Junak)
I think they are right you have to trust your instincts. I had the same choice but I enjoyed the interview and what seemed to be the variety when I went round the Slade. They both have great reputations.
Good luck!
I chose the BFA, I'm so excited!! -
Re: Art applicants for 2012 entryi think i'm going to goldsmiths, but i'll be on the extension year though, so i'll be a batch below you guys!(Original post by Ham_Sandwich)
So.....how many of us exactly are going to Goldsmith next year? It seems like everyone who applied has been offered a place! We'll be a proper TSR gang

Re: Art applicants for 2012 entryI just firmed Camberwell and declined Leeds, have you applied for accomadation yet? I chose Bernard Myers, Camberwell Campus, Brooke Hall. So excited to move down!!(Original post by KED)

I am a 'mature' (hate that term) student so already have my own place - the new camberwell campus building is beautiful though and being just opposite the college its perfect (dont really know the other two). I adore the area, have lived here for 7 years - you'll love it. Which course are you doing???

Re: Art applicants for 2012 entryAww, thanks so much. xxx And yes, I have my interview on the 16th of April, pretty damn late. Do you think I should email Goldsmiths to make sure by when I have to confirm/reject the offer? I think it's May something but the last thing I want is it to be automatically withdrawn while waiting for Chelsea to reply, haha.(Original post by glitter_ever)

And congratulations to you too; I'm so happy for you - that must have been so glorious after such a ****ty day (and rather romantic, as well... receiving the news on your balcony!) I can't wait to receive my letter when I get back.
Hope I do see you in September; I'll wait until I know about Chelsea to make a really good, informed decision.

Re: Art applicants for 2012 entryit's for fine art.(Original post by byrd)

I did a foundation course in 2008-2009... But I thought I'd applied for 1st year entry, so kind of a surprise to hear my examination is for 2nd. Haven't had much time to work in my studio over the past year due to work and exams so most of my work is "theoretical" so to say - not sure how they will judge that
