Starting MPhil at Cambridge

Hi! I'm an American student who will begin studying for my MPhil at Cambridge in October. I'm a bit nervous as I don't know anyone in Cambridge, and it will be a very new and different environment for me. I'd love to connect with any other people who will begin their graduate studies at Cambridge this fall!

I started a graduate degree at Cambridge in April.
I'm sure with freshers week and all the socials the colleges, departments and societies put on in October you will find lots of new friends.

I will be studying History, living in Trinity College and coming (a short distance) from Wales. Looking forward to meeting so many interesting people though I wish I didn't have to wait so long! Hope you're all enjoying the summer so far :wink:

I will be studying nuclear energy and will be at Churchill. I'm coming from Los Angeles and, having lived there all my life, I am quite worried about the weather!

Well its one of the driest parts of britain and one of the warmer parts too! nothing compared to LA but at the moment we are in a drought and keep having mini heat waves in the 30s which for england is pretty amazing lol

I won't be but I am actually teaching some EAP this summer at home! I'm sure there will be plenty of students in the same position as you though. And, on the plus side, you will be able to show us all around Cambridge as you'll know it very well by then :wink:

Lectures take place at the departments, and everyone on the same course attend the same lectures regardless of their collage membership.
