I might see you there tomorrow, it's just very annoying that the Stammtisch is at the same time as the French Society's social... :frown: Do you know when Kaffee und Kuchen usually takes place?

OMG, if I do German with French I am so up for Kaffee und Kuchen! And I've been hearing good things about the French cheese and wine nights

I would like to, but I live in Suffolk, England.. I think it would cost me about £200 in train fares..

Do you mind me asking what your AS, or the Scottish equivalent were? (:

Not too good, AAABB at higher but was predicted AAAAA

Although i'm doing higher geology this year which will boost my application, they say an A will allow direct entry into second-year. I'm finding it easy enough at the moment so all is looking well

I got an A at AS in Geology, with 100% in both exams, but cannot continue it to A2...

Hey, I was predicted CCDD

My physics teacher studied Geology at St Andrews, which is pretty cool, she said it was amazing

WOW. When I did the Pasch-Jugendkurs in Germany this summer I directed and acted in a production of Aschenputtel  It all sounds SO GOOD.

We have a position on our committee especially for it! I was in it last year as a bit-part cos I'd obviously only done German for about 6 months. This year we're doing something Austrian, but I dunno what!

I live with a Londoner, and he pays £85 max if he books in advance, or failing that you could try to get to Peterborough/Stevenage on the East Coast Main Line and it's only £40/50 from there.

I'm not sure what my UCAS points are, we don't really use UCAS points unless the grade is less than a C.

But, I'll calculate it sometime and get back to you (:

Okay, I already have 270 UCAS points including general studies (Grade B)

Providing I get at least 3As at A2 I should have 420 points, not including General studies (480 points including it

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh, I have calculated it wrong..

I have already achieved 270 points (inc. General Studies)

At A2 I should have (For 3 A's, not inc. General studies)

540, but that sounds too high... I give up

You can't use your AS points if you're carrying on to A2. You can only count an AS if you drop it and don't take it on.

So for example.
At AS I got AAAA. I dropped one subject and got AAA at A Level.
So I can include the points for the A at AS which is 60
and then include the points for the 3 A's at A Level which is 120 each. so 360.
So from my grades alone, I have 420 points.
Is it true that they are Biased toward British applicants?
I want to apply next year?
Joint honours in Chemistry and Economics?
