what are the smallest and largest integer values for the primitive type short

-2^15 is smallest, so -32768. Biggest is (2^15)-1 so 32767.

edit- not really worth using shorts usually when coding though. I stick to ints (yes its lazy but it works and you don't lose that much memory).
