Hi guys. I missed my train home and there was all sorts of confusion

I had £15 to buy food for the day, which I thought would be plenty, but I ended up having to buy a top up thingy for my phone and decided to use my remaining funds to buy my packed lunch out of M&S (the most expensive shop in the world :fyi:) I panicked and went for cheap sugary things. I bought water, an overpriced banana, some cookies, these things that had the texture of doughnuts, some discounted sweets which turned out to be cheesecake flavoured :wtf: and a bag of "full flavour" bacon crisps. So full of flavour that the second I decided to open them the flavour became airborne and everyone in the bloody coach was tasting them. IT WAS LIKE I'D UNLEASHED A BACON SCENTED ATOMIC BOMB  After that incident I forced myself to sit on the floor just outside of the toilet. I didn't deserve people seats :emo:

I have work in the morning :nooo:

Oh no, still haven't heard back from Keele :moon: I don't want to go there, it was kind of the Insurance choice of my Insurance choice, but it's nice to feel wanted.

I'm running out of things to talk about.

There's half a pork pie in the fridge.

I might eat it.

I'm going to bed now. Regarding the fate of the pork pie, I'll inform you of that tomorrow. Leave y'all with a cliffhanger :smug:

Goodnight :wavey:

How bored were you last night?

Can't believe stoneface is still a thing when none of you have seen it in months :cry2:

Two :fyi:

ooh :h:

How long ago did you have it done? From my experience with both my tatts, that sounds pretty normal. Once the scabs fall off, they don't come back (unless you picked them off). The peeling is pretty grim, but it only lasts for a day or two - during which time it'll probably itch like hell, but don't scratch it! I'm not entirely sure what you mean when you say that the skin is darker, but that's probably just part of the process of the skin healing. Are you using bepanthen or anything like that?

I got it done last Saturday. It's extremely itchy and feels a tiny bit uncomfortable (I've emailed my instructor to tell him I can't come training this evening) I'm using some cream that my tattoo artist told me to use (Known as "after inked"). In terms of darker, it's like I've been bruised (if that makes sense). I just hope that it comes out looking okay :sigh:

WHY DO I KEEP GETTING UNSUBSCRIBED FROM THIS THREAD?

I'm donating blood on Friday, for the first time since last April :h:

It's a bug that came up in the upgrade work. If you use quick reply instead of advanced reply it doesn't happen.

Oh right

BTW need to ask you as you have one.

My tattoo lost most of it's scabbing on Saturday, but it's not scabbing up again and skin around it is peeling away. Also, the skin around it is much darker around it then usual. Is this normal?

My tattoo didn't scab or peel or get itchy at all

Codeine and caffeine make for the most pathetic speedball ever.

I'm currently maxing out the tramadol and caffeine. It's making today bearable.

I wouldn't bother with fancy specialist creams and ointments for tattoos, they're usually more expensive and are no better than using Bepanthen (nappy rash cream) which is the industry standard, as it were. Same goes for piercings, some piercers will try and flog you their pricey aftercare lotion when all you need is warm saline.

And I've got another two in the pipeline!

Yeah, that's all normal. It'll settle down in a few days, and the colours will fade in and all look great.

What did they use, a paintbrush?

In fact, you don't really need any ointment at all - when I got my stag done, Frank Carter told me just to keep it washed. And he ought to know; I mean, look at him.

Sounds painful. How do they see what they're doing in there?

I am sorry, I do not understand to what you are referring.

I misinterpreted your phrase "another two in the pipeline" so that instead of considering "in the pipeline" as a metaphorical idiom meaning "in my plans for the future" I considered it as being in reference to some actual pipeline. Since the human body contains no pipes of the conventional sort (as might be used by a plumber) I inferred that you were refering to some other tubelike section of your anatomy, of which as I'm sure you are aware there are many. After brief consideration, however, it seems clear to me firstly that any such area of anatomy would be painful to tattoo (hence the first part of my response), and secondly that, as opposed to the more usual dermal tattoo, a tattooist applying ink to an internal part of the body would likely struggle to maintain a clear perspective on the image being produced, and hence the enquiry that concluded my response.

What a peculiar line of thought. I do sometimes wonder about you, Daniel.

Given that it had the usual burny stabby pain whilst it was being done,it's still there and I shower frequently, I assume it was not a paintbrush  I think I was just very lucky.

Aye, you can get away with no ointment, but it's helpful when it starts to dry out.

Is that why it's doing it? It's really pissing me off.

That update clearly didn't do any good.

it's a shame you couldn't make it to Popstarz - it was actually fairly good.

Oh well :tea:

Hmm. Browsing through your blog has given me sufficient inspiration to re-read my Calculus textbook. :holmes:

^ I like this.

My day has just got 1000% better. Not. We have ice hockey varsity tonight, and my friend said her housemate wasn't going so I could have her ticket, and now that all the tickets have sold out she's going. Yey. So while everyone I know is at varsity I get to stay in the most tense house I've ever been in, with a housemate on his man period, and work. Oh how fun my life keeps getting.
