Edward V111 was considered very handsome in his time

Charles II was supposedly very handsome
EDIT: with regards to our current Queen then yes in her day she was quite a beautiful woman and there's a picture out there on the internet somewhere in which she is at a state banquet and the gentleman that she is talking to is staring at her cleavage

Well, if he genuinely looks like Rufus Sewell he was. :coma:
Ah, though purely superficial this thread is brilliant.

So much for 'prince charming'
He ends up to be a frumpy, ugly looking old man after a few years :colonhash:
See what happened to our prince William:sad:
But Queen Cleopatra will always remain legend for her famous beauty:biggrin:

Thats being challenged now. Coins are seen as quite accurate in their depiction of leaders, her depictions are hardly flattering.
Well, I can't imagine that us, humans can have such bad taste. She must have had something in her that made her famous for her beauty!

Luckily there IS a perfect likeness of an ancient queen, Pharoah Nefertiti.

I've had my eye on her for a while alright.

Queen Elizabeth II was quite the looker back in her younger days. Never realised that until now.
Oh my Prince Phillip was a bit of a hotty back then. Who knew!

:dontknow:

Portraits really aren't really much of an accurate measure of a person's beauty, particularly some of those from the Tudor era. Henry VIII was supposedly very attractive, but you wouldn't think it if you saw paintings of him.

Anne Boleyn was also thought to be extremely pretty, albeit in an unconventional way for her time (dark hair, dark eyes, olive skin as opposed to fair hair and pale skin, etc.) and Catherine of Aragon was meant to be beautiful when she was young.

Well she isn't queen, but princess, but when she does become queen :sogood:

She's absolutely stunning here

and also this.

I have another one but couldn't find it. She's like the equivalent Milla Jovovich to me

Henry VIII's sister Mary was considered a beauty.

As was Marie Antoinette.
