Studying German and/or English at Leeds

Is anyone on this forum studying German and/or English for their degree? I'm interested at studying German/English when I get to Uni, and I was wondering how people find the lectures and professors of German/English at University at Leeds.

Can't speak for German specifically, but can speak for English and my experience of the Foreign Language Teaching Unit (focuses on teaching langs only, mostly as electives and self-study), and I can tell you it's just phenomenal. I'm having so much fun experimenting with ideas in essays and the seminar system is really productive for it.

Hi katieblake,

I study French and German at Leeds, so I may be able to help you on the German side, also I'm in Final Year which means that hopefully I'll give you an idea of the modules during the course (at least as I understand them...)

First of all, did you do German for A Level or are you planning on taking it up as a beginner?
