The Bailey is essentially like any other crown court. It tends to be home to some of the more serious cases however. You will also note that the judges are called "My Lord/Lady" even though they are just normal old crown court judges. You will also see that the judges at the Bailey wear normal barristers robes rather than the purple robes they wear at other crown courts.
Because of the Bailey's association with serious cases (especially terrorism cases) security is very high. Members of the public enter through a separate entrance located around the back of the court. There are no locker facilities in the court however there is a cafe opposite the court which will look after your bags for a small fee.
