Eu student:can I apply to Student Finance now?

Hi.

I'm italian and I'm going to study in England from next September.

I see from the direct.gov website that application for SF are now open, but when I choose the "EU students" section it say "for courses that will start after 1st September you can apply from April 2012"(or a similar message)...now my mind is a little messed up!

Can I apply now or I have to wait until April?!

Hello,

I'm guessing you will be doing a full time course? If your course is due to start before Sept 1st 2012, then you can apply now.

If your course is on or after the 1st Sept 2012, you must apply from April.

When to apply

If your course starts after 1 September 2012 you can apply for student finance as follows:
full-time students - from April 2012
part-time students - from August 2012

From the information from the DirectGov website, you must apply from April 2012 if you're course starts after the 1st Sept 2012.

Please read revised post above.
