I thought overall the paper was harder than all the past papers i've done. The SHM question was a really weird one and i'm not too confident about question 4 but I think the rest of the paper and section A was alright.

I used v^2 = u^2 - 2as But both ways will work.

its +2as

Paper went pretty well!
The 6 marker and the SHM question were a bit Iffy though :s

Erm, in section A. The question where you had 2 point charges and a length 60 mm away from each other.

I got the value of 48 mm which wasn't on any of the options available (highest one was 45mm)

I used two different methods, and both gave me 48 mm.
Anyone else have the same problem or was It just me screwing it up? :P

I also got 48mm! So i just put 45mm because that's what was closest.
I hated it.

How did people do the electric field direction question?

Also, what did people do for the stress/fuse questions....and the last question?

Well I thought that it was Q/r^2 and I got 40mm

I got 48mm first but then I saw that it was a radial field...

Yeah my bad I changed it.

I agree

Yeah it was field strength not potential.

I got 40mm as well

6-marker was ok as my teacher went through that experiment in class

Overall, it wasn't too bad, there were some tricky questions though and I think I made quite a few silly errors.

But if the grade boundaries stay roughly the same, it should be fine

The answer was 40mm, you knew it had to be closer to the smaller charge so if you calculate both strengths when the distance is 45mm they were not equal so it had to be 40mm.

Well If it was 40mm :frown:(((((((
Oh well, one mark

I think I must've mis-read the question. I thought It was Electric potential Q/r

You seem to be the only person on here who feels the way I do about this paper.

I feel exactly the same way :|

I think it was fairly average compared to past papers. Section A and the first like 3 questions that were mainly calculations were probably slightly easier than usual, than the last few questions with all the explain bull**** was probably harder, just hoping I haven't dropped too many marks in the last question/s.

When it asked to prove something was 25, did anyone else get 27.8 then say it was approximately equal? Think I may have got that one wrong..

I got like 25.09 or something along those lines. It took me eons to get it.

What did you get for the time for the half oscillation btw?

I found it pretty hard too. Gonna try not to visit this thread too much, I'll discover all the mistakes I made

3.3s ? :-( flopped this paper so bad
I couldn't get 25 either, kept coming out as 22.9
