The oldest graduate in town?
Hi folks.
I graduated a couple of years ago in what is probably one of the more enjoyable, but less employable degrees, in other words Fine Art. As a mature student approaching my late forties, with a student son of my own, was it worth it I occasionally wonder? I do work in a related sector; art gallery/museum/tourism, but only on a casual basis, so no better off financially/security wise now than I was twenty years ago! I would love to know of other peoples experiences. Did you do your degree late? Was it a total change of direction? Did it lead anywhere? Are there employers out there who would look at the more mature grad? Bring it on.....
