Question about Exam dates.

Hi

while going through pastpapers the dates at which students sat their exams in prevous years is much higher date than this years exams. 15 days average decrease in this year. That is alot of days to increase your grade!

I do ocr exams.

Why is this?

The exam season always starts on a Monday so the date varies by 7 days - this year it's quite early. The really significant difference this year is that half term is a week later than usual to fit in with the Queen's Diamond Jubilee. This means that the AS levels finish before half term, whereas they normally go into the first week after half term. It disadvantages everyone equally so it doesn't matter.
