im 17 and I have EE size breasts.

Im only 17 and i have double E breasts..some peoople may say this is a good thing as lads like larger breasts, but i feel so self concious, as people always look at them even though i always wear tops that go upto my neck. I feel like people think that's all there is about me and they don't actually care about my personality? I hate the size of my breasts, and wondered does anyone else feel the same about themselves? also do you think the doctor would be able to do much if i went to see her about them?
You can get a breast reduction on the NHS, but it has to be for a good reason (physical issues and big psychological issues). I would get an appointment and talk to someone about it!

Of course, this is quite a 'dramatic' solution so you may just want to get advice from a doctor or something.

Tops that go up to your neck actually tend to make them look bigger in my experience. High necked tops really aren't flattering for people with larger chests...I try to avoid them at all costs because I end up looking ridiculous! Make sure you're wearing a well-fitting bra too - you'll look worse and feel more uncomfortable if you're falling out of one that's too small, or wearing one that isn't supportive enough. The crop-top style sports bras work fairly well as minimising bras actually, I look much smaller when I'm wearing my cropped sports bra. Are you fairly slim? If not then an obvious suggestion is to lose weight.

Yes i am slim, i am a size 8 in clothes..and i find if i wear vest tops people stare thats why i started wearing t-shirts that go further up and cover my boobs..i would like to get a boob reduction as i get really bad back ache, but wonder if i go to the doctor it may just be a waste of time and they may just send me away with painkillers

Well, you may as well try. You have nothing to lose by going to the doctors if it's upsetting you and hurting you enough for you to want a reduction! If that's what you want then good luck  Certainly worth a try.

I'm a size 8 and a ~30F and don't feel that they're particularly big, which is the main reason I asked if you were pretty slim - obviously a 36EE is far bigger than a 28EE! I don't really get many stares or anything either, unless I'm wearing a really good push-up bra and a v-neck top!
I'm 18, and since I was about 15 I've had size 30FF boobs - I'm a size 8/10 in clothes. It has never bothered me. I always wear higher necked stuff apart from in the summer, but they don't look overly big compared to the rest of my body x
Coming from a girl with smaller boobs (32C/30D), I can definitely vouch for higher necked tops making boobs look bigger, that is, if you have the boobs to begin with. Obviously low necked/vest tops are just as bad, especially v-necks, so you need to try and find a happy medium. Have you got a decent fitting bra? Because that can make a massive impact. Lastly, surgery should always, ALWAYS be a last resort. Your breasts are an asset, and you should only change them if there are serious medical/psychological repercussions (which I think for large breasts is more common because of back ache.) Anyway, I think you should seek out all the options before considering surgery and a decent bra should def be the first port of call.

lol "smaller" !!

is this forum filled with americans or something>?

C cup is perfect size and large enough

i find anything over a D disgusting.
i have even bigger boobs, and it gets me down sometimes, but atm i have a bf who loves my boobs which is bringing my confidence up no end

if you ask me surgery should be a last resort - and also you are only 17 - the consequences could mean that you couldnt breast feed, and also you may not have fully developed so you may not be eligible for surgery now!
Im 16 and I have double G's, I feel your pain, even more so
Wow slim and big breasts is an amazing combo.

Er.

Earlier on a very good point was made about bra fittings. Now, most people (ie guys who don't work in lingerie, and the 75% of girls who are wearing the wrong bra size) are stuck in this rut of AA/A = small, B = okay, C = average/medium, D = big, DD = porn star, anything over = massive.

This is hugely inaccurate!

It depends not only on cup size but also on back size! As said above, 28EE is worlds away from 36EE! A girl I know would be judged on sight to have traditionally B cup breasts, but she is in fact a 28D/E. In writing to those who don't know about bras, this looks massive. It isn't.

I, for example, 'look' like I'm a DD, and when guys do that terribly charming thing of estimating bra size by sight, they always say DD. I did use to wear a 36DD, got myself properly fitted and am actually a 30FF, which again sounds massive. I'm not. My chest is very much in proportion with my body.

So, in perspective, to the poster with the disparaging comment, you might not even recognise a D as such, given the nonsensical, outdated and frankly damaging assumptions about visual breast size. Like I said, a 36D will look much bigger than a 28D, so you cannot generalise and say all D cups are 'disgusting'. I realise you are probably a troll given your rude comment on a thread where it does not pertain, but my point stands for those curious/ignorant.

OP- please get yourself to a Bravissimo or similar (see the Lingerie thread for recommendations). Just because the bra you're wearing seems to fit, does not make you that size. Avoid M&S and La Senza at all costs. You haven't specified your size. If you're incorrectly wearing a 36EE, for example, you might actually be a 30G, which is really, really different. Bras for bigger breasts also resemble a small harness if you take apart the lace and the bows, but this is good and prevents your backache! You shouldn't have back pain with a correctly fitting bra. Nor would your chest receive as much negative attention when properly fitted into a good bra.

If you don't believe me just yet, look here.

However, if what I'm saying is useless as you've been there, done that, got yourself good upholstery and you still have wildly disproportional breasts that cause you intense pain and get you funny looks, then I'm really, really sorry, and I hope you get it sorted out soon. :hugs:

PS- Also, by covering up your chest completely, you are drawing more attention to it. There is heaps of information online about how to dress larger chests. Go forth and Google
i know how you feel- im 32E and hate it :frown:
sometimes i think they actually look ok and dont look too big- but in certain lights and photos they look terrible!! i also think that people tend to label you as slutty if you wear tight tops- even though your doing nothing out of the ordinary and dont want the attention. i totally get how you feel :frown: and i tend to try and cover them up instead of showing them off because i dont like the attention

in my opinion, mine tend to look smaller if I wear loose- ish jersey style tops, so they dont fit tight but aren't too baggy. in winter looser fitting jumpers can look quite good too. in new look at the moment theyve got a few of these long sleved light jumper style things (sorry for the stupid description :colondollar:) in quite a few patterns which are really flattering.

if i want to wear something tighter i always wear a scarf (ive built up quite a large collection ) which tends to hide them a bit. its always harder in summer, but a demin waist coat or other light cover up can hide them a bit but still look good.

the NHS does do reductions- but I dont think theyd offer them to teenagers- but ive never been myself so im not certain. theres no harm in trying though- and i understand why you want a reduction. people who say you should wait tend to be smaller chested and have no idea how it feels. after all its your body so its your choice. ive been meaning to go for ages but havent got round to it yet.

i hope you feel more comfortable soon because i know how much it sucks. take care

Actually got there before me. Its nice to know some people aren't completely ignorant about how bra sizing really works.

Lady, at your age its normal to be concious about your image. Believe me, it will all get better soon Don't worry. If you want to reduce your breasts size, it can be done. But like others have suggested, I too will say that do it only for health reasons. Not every man is like the ones you've encountered.
