I'm just kidding, but come on man, how can you not see through this? The government is spending public money on something which won't even work because it knows angry working class Whites will think this is the Tories doing something and vote for them over UKIP. It is wrong anyway, because of how much it legitimises people directing their blame for their problems of a lack of jobs, higher cost of living etc, onto the outsider.

Er, is it not true, did I make it up?

Yeah right. You're all the same. There is nothing wrong with being against illegal immigration.

If anything, people like you do nothing but legitamize illegals because you want as many as possible. You're fan boys for anything against the UK. As your hatred of people having a problem with illegal immigrants prove.

No I'm not pro-illegal immigration, I just think it should be tackled the right way. Using immigration officials to secure our borders directly, having the police arrest the criminal gangs who smuggle them into the country (who are often exploitative and abusive towards the illegal immigrants themselves) and as a long term solution support political stability and economic development in the countries they come from. Rather than some posters which like I said won't even work, but comes across as really dark and creates this us and them mentality, which will lead to violence and heightened ethnic tensions, just so the government can take advantage of this next election.

Yes, your statement was false. An opt-out policy on internet pornography is not a 'far right' policy.

So your solution is to give their countries handouts? No thank you I would rather keep the money.
Is this really surprising though?

No, I think we should help them make their own way by reducing corruption and encouraging investment which benefits both sides.

We don't have the power to end corruption in foreign governments.

Yet at the same time we welcome their best and brightest to come to our country hindering that countries chances to change for the better. And introduce half arsed policies to tackle their less skilled people coming over here.
If an illegal is found, and the authorities can't find his passport, they let him go and ask him to report in periodically, then he just does a flit. He is really gonna worry about the threat of arrest. It's not like illegals don't know how the system works, it is the system that needs changing, not a first world war poster campaign.
The principles behind it are understandable and I'm sure reflect the frustration of some White British, but exactly what do they think this is going to achieve?

To be honest, empowering police to stop random people and ask for proof of ID / immigration status would solve the whole freaking problem. And if someone happens to have "forgotten" his driver's license or passport at home... Well, too bad, but you are gonna have to accompany the officers to the nearest police station, so that they could find out who you are.

You have completely missed what I said, if an illegal hides his passport, there is nothing that can be done, they can't chuck them out the country. So any poster campaign is a joke, as within a matter of hours an arrested illegal is back on the street.

Anarchists on my facebook still can't accept that this isn't racist.
The posters essentially highlight the failures of the UKBA to tackle illegal immigration in the first place, and their inability to control the many thousands who creep over our borders each year. Of course, those who do not have the right to be in this country should be deported, and by all means, there does need to be a crackdown, but this ad campaign is tasteless and disgusts me.

I live in the London Borough of Brent, one of the trial areas for the racist vans. The local council were not told of this arrangement, nor were they told that UK Border Agency police would place officers at a busy tube station in the morning rush-hour, questioning commuters and ordinary residents of the area. They only arrested 3 people that morning. A success? I think not.

There's been huge amounts of racial profiling too. If you call the number in Brent, you're offered translations in Urdu, Punjabi and Hindi. During the train station incident, the UKBA targeted non-white commuters. Those who questioned what was going on were aggressively told to continue on their journey, or face arrest. One officer told a witness to read his number on his uniform if he wanted to report him, but there wasn't one. Many users of the station include tourists from the hostel across the road from the station. We've got a pretty decent tourism industry here in the UK, is this the message we want to send out to visitors?

This is kinda pointless considering that we're still part of the EU. If we're to tackle the problem for good we need to leave the EU immediately and regain control over our own borders, not run a student-esque poster campaign encouraging illegals to leave. Whoever dreampt this up needs to be fired for incompetence.

It's all a lot of ****, the damage has been done all political parties are guilty though Labour are worse people seem to forget we had mass immigration for decades.Traitors the lot of them.
It's clearly aimed at ILLEGAL immigrants who shouldn't be here anyway. LEGAL migrants that work hard and contribute to the economy/tax system should be proud of themselves and not feel uncomfortable. Indeed LEGAL migrants do more for this country than a lot of scrounging British people .

So the Unite Union are challenging the vans for potentially "inciting racial hatred".

Yet they're the ones suggesting a link between illegal immigration and race.

A rare thing for me to say, but I'm with Farage on this one - this campaign is just nasty.
