Any hotels near Lanc Uni?

Hi all,
I will be moving to Lancaster uni in Sept and will be traveling there with my mom. I would like to find her a hotel near the uni so she can drop me off and rest without much travel time involved. Are there any good hotels nearby? I'm not familiar with the districts or areas of UK and am quite unsure and afraid that i'll book the wrong hotel.

I know that there is a hotel literally right next to the university as in a 20 second walk away! I think it was called the Lancaster house hotel?

I'm not entirely sure what the situation is with parking, but it's about 5-10 minutes by car from the campus.
