2011-12 Income for 2013-14 Application
Forsome reason,this years 2013-14 applications use the income(actual) from 2011-12 to calculate the grant. Can someone explain why this is?
SFE have full details of Tax Credits etc for 2011-12, 2012-13 and 2013-14.
Why not use the actual details from 2012-13?
Please explain this rationale.

I assume it's because when SF started processing applications for next year the 2012-2013 tax year hadn't yet finished. It has now, but it wouldn't be fair to anyone to calculate loans and grants differently based on when the application came in.
Also many self employed people are not in a position to give full finance details until long after the start of the academic year.
