SLC - Your academic year 2022/23 Student Finance application – Decision

I got SLC investigating my studen finance. I never commited any crimes, never done any scamming either or provided false information. However after the investigation they are saying otherwise.

On 17/10/23 we wrote to you in relation to a check we were performing on
your eligibility for funding as a migrant worker.

Your account was investigated by us as we had concerns over some of the
documentation sent to us in support of application.

As part of your application as a migrant worker, you submitted a bank
statement from Nationwide Bank. When checked, the statement did not match
the details on their system. You explained this in a telephone interview
and have since sent us an updated statement from this bank.

You also submitted a bank statement from Monzo Bank. We had concerns over
the authenticity of this document, and contacted Monzo who confirmed that
the statement did not match their records and had been amended.

We believe that these were both done in an attempt to falsely claim access
to funds as a migrant worker.

Based on our findings, SLC Investigations conclude that you are unfitted to
receive student support from the beginning of the 2022/23 academic year and
until such time as SLC Investigations determine that you are an eligible
student.

We will review the conduct which led to this decision before considering
any future applications. This may prevent your application from being
approved.SLC Investigations reserve the right to decide when said conduct
will affect your eligibility for student support.

This is in accordance with Regulations 4(3)(f), 6(5) and 6(6)(a)(b) and (c)
of the Education (Student Support) Regulations 2011, as amended.

Student Loans Company (SLC) will also record your details with CIFAS, the
UK's fraud prevention service; which may impact your ability to obtain
credit in the future. This is in accordance with our Data Protection
Statement. Further information on the Data Protection statement and our
customer compliance activity can be found by visiting the websites below:

I am wondering if anyone went through the same and what they did to resolve? I replied to the e-mail that I feel targeted and that this is absurd, I never done anything like that before. Never ever faked the employement, I can always provide other documents and don't know what information doesnt meet what they hold online on my account, I feel it might been an understanding. I am unsure what to do in this situation, where to go and how to appeal. Could anyone help me as I am literally sitting in my room, loosing my **** now and crying!
