Applied as self supporting?
Hi,
Just a quick question, I applied as a self supporting student as Ive had jobs since I was 15 and my mother has never really earned the money to support me and my two older brothers whilst keeping food on the table and a roof over our heads.
Ive spoken to student finance who claim I will get the full entitlement as i have no shares or any other unearned income. However the question I am asking is that will I be entitled to a maintenance grant?
The reason I ask is because on my application it says im only entitled to the loan and tuition fees.

Your mother gets child allowance for you, you can't be considered independent.
