A level choices help

I am in year 11 and am in the process of choosing my AS levels. I know I want to geography and English lit. but for my other two options I can't decide between psychology, economics and French. What can I expect from these subjects, and how interesting/enjoyable are they?

I started my AS levels in september, geography and economics are both good and interesting so far, geography is pretty similar to GCSE and economics is pretty straight forward. I also do psychology and I don't enjoy it at all, I guess it depends on what you like, some of it is kind of interesting such as abnormality, but things like developmental are just so boring.

I really have no idea, but I enjoy geography and I am good at it, so maybe something to do with that

Thanks, dos psychology have allot of science involved with it?
I would choose:
Geography
English Lit
French
Economics
Those will be more useful in the future, in my opinion. Plus lots of people dropped physcology after a couple of weeks at my school.Good luck anyways:smile:

No not really, you need to remember a few things and there is a topic involving biology, but essay writing technique is more important

From my experience, you want A levels you enjoy and are good at, but are also strong subjects that will lead you into a place at university or job wise. Hopefully, the two should coincide. For example, someone wishing to study science at university has to ensure they are studying science and (possibly) maths.

One way to think of it is that you are specialising from a broad range of subjects to a narrow one, and that is a progression that will follow further. While you may not know what you want to do as a career, do you have any ideas on what fields you would like to go into, and what kind of job you would end up doing?

Overall, you want the subjects you enjoy and are good at (obviously), but you also want to make sure that that combination will lead you somewhere.
