Are Financial Engineering courses that popular in the US that they are all over the country? :eek: If they are then I will obviously consider which one would be most appropriate; but for now I would appreciate some relevant information.

We only have one structured course in this country and that's at Birkbeck College, which is predominantly for older people.

I went to Stanford, there was a program in Financial Mathematics..definitely master's level, not sure if it was to PhD though.

There is plenty of opportunity for programmes in Financial Mathematics here, at Masters level rather than PhD.

My query specifically related to Financial Engineering since apparently it gives greater kudos for career prospects than the ^.
