Applying to American universities from UK

I'm a year 12 student in the UK hoping to apply to American universities for economics. I did 10 GCSEs, of which 5 were grade 9 and the other 5 were grade 8. im currently doing 3 A Levels in Economics, Mathematics and Geography and some extracurriculars. I don't particularly know how the American university application process works. What should my next steps be in applying to American universities? I'm looking to apply to top ones hopefully eg ivy league fingers crossed

You need to get to grips with Common app and start to look at the Universities and their admissions process ( are they on common app ? Eg Berkley isn’t ). We found it took longer to enter everything as it wasn’t set up for Scottish qualifications. Also check with your school to see if they have any staff that is familiar with common app, they transcript they need to produce for you and also who will act as your references.
