New to Edinburgh

Hi all, I'm going to Edinburgh in September to do an International Development Masters. It's within the school of Social and Political Science. I was wondering if anyone knows if the lectures take place in the schools building or elsewhere and which campus? (I think the central area). And where would be an appropriate place to live?

Thanks!

Hey there!

Afaik, your lectures and tutorials will be in the central George Square campus. For example, one of the courses on your Degree Programme Table (http://www.drps.ed.ac.uk/14-15/dpt/ptmscinter1f.htm) has a tutorial held in 30 Buccleuch Place.

But the School of Social and Political Science is in the Chrystal Macmillan Building (http://www.ed.ac.uk/about/campus/buildings/central/chrystal-macmillan) which is at the corner of George Square (see map: http://www.ed.ac.uk/maps?building=chrystal-macmillan-building). I expect you'll be there a lot of the time!
