UoM grade system

Hello, I just want to know the grade range used at UoM
Thanks in advance
You will receive marks as percentages
70%+ = first
60-69% = 2:1
50-59% = 2:2
40-49% = third
39% or less = fail

This is the system that is used by almost all UK universities

At undergraduate level, as far as I know, yes.

A few healthcare courses completely ignore first/second/third style grading, you just get honours, pass, or fail.

Thank you  - the boundaries seem rather low!

Don't underestimate how hard it actually is to get those grades though - you will have to work to get the grades! It's completely different to A Levels, as well as the uni systems of many other countries.

I'd forgotten about medicine and the like :getmecoat:

Come to think of it, I think architecture uses letter grades and then translates them into 1st / 2:1 etc. later on, though I don't quite know how that works. That said, architecture is a joint course with MMU, which may explain the difference.

We do tend to keep to ourselves, in fairness...
