Conditional LSE offer: TOEFL or IELTS? Deadline?

Hey guys,

Just got news a few days ago that I got a conditional offer for the MSc in Accounting & Finance at the LSE. I'm really psyched.

As stated, it's conditional so I need to pass the TOEFL/IELTS and an online course.

I've got two questions and it would be great if you guys could help me out:

1) Which of the TOEFL or IELTS should I pass? LSE says they prefer the IELTS to the TOEFL. Also I'm a native speaker so in the case of the IELTS, where one faces a physical person unlike the TOEFL, I think I'd have an advantage. I already did the TOEFL once, 2 and a half years ago and I didn't really enjoy the test structure (speaking in a microphone, the length,...)

2) Until when do I have to fulfill these conditions? I've been searching for a specific date for hours now and I can't seem to find any info. Is it October 2nd?? which is the start of the semester? or is it September 30th which is the registry date?

I want to know if I should rush things and perhaps take the tests in June/July, or if I can really give myself some time to study for these.
