Yeah, was pretty unnecessary but oh well.

No different to Brendan Rodgers complaining about Chelsea parking the bus. It's nothing to cry or lose sleep over anyway.

You forgot to mention how he's hating on Chelsea :yy:

He's hating on Chelsea's style of play. Don't care though, just mentioning how people can be unprofessional, there no reasons for one to get their tits in a bundle.

We also got your ex-best player/captain for a pretty sweet price.

There must be some other club that you hate more?

Same :smug:

Read my original post. Where did I show annoyance. I really don't get where you conclude that I'm hating or getting gassed over it :dontknow:

I love it. Long may your club continue with their small club mentality and long may the era of the specialist in failure continue.

It isn't different to what Barca did.

All Barca did was say how cesc falter in second half of season was it not? It's small time to be annoyed by it.

Both statement made unnecessary sly dig however way you want to spin it.

Wenger is the specialist in failure why do you want that era to continue?

guys,

I want to say sorry. I posted before saying I am a Chelsea fan but I don't think this is the club for me anymore. I was really annoyed we did not get fabregas as a united supporter so I rushed the decision. I think Chelsea is a great club but I don't see us reaching the heights we expect next season.

Van gal drove me out of utd. I thought he was going to ruin the club. But owns wrong. I didn't like how he showed his balls to the team when at Dortmund for example, and thought he was an outright thug, but now Chelsea have signed Costa, so why are we now debating morals? Van gal had been brilliant for holland and I like the way he plays. He can make united great afain and this excites me.

I want to say sorry to all the good posters here like 9cmbullet and Adam, we can still stay in touch, but I cannot be on your side in football debates

It was nice being a Chelsea fan for a while during the transfer window, but it was too slow, United have been more ruthless and they have swayed me back .. Maybe I can return some day but at the moment I am a Manchester United fan and I can't do anything about it it's my feelings that dictate this, I'm so sorry guys

As in he's not worth 20M and Oscar. Pogba is probably worth Oscars value imo.

Yeah, I was getting quite pissed off on the we ain't got no history site. People were saying they wanted Pogba instead of Fabregas? I was thinking wtf are you guys somking?

Kroos i understand but even then, I can't think of many people who pass the ball as well as Fabregas, plus he has that English mentality (seen in Gerrard) where he can drive the team forward. Can't see why people aren't elated over this bit of business. Yes, there's the slight (and I mean slight) issure of figuring out how best to use him, but he's too good that he won't benefit us imo. I honestly think Barcelona didn't want him because he's too direct. He's got the technical abilities to play for Barcelona, although you could argue his touch is a little looser than Xavi's. Fabregas is suited to a team who play a little more direct than Barcelona and I'm guessing this is the only reason why he couldn't play in the centre of midfield more often. Barcelona's priority seems to be ball retention rather than constant goal threat.

I guess this comes into Barcelona's defensive game as their way of defending is by stopping the opponent from having the ball. Busquets and Xavi are arguably better at this if push comes to shove (debatable though)

Fabregas makes sense over Pogba, Pogba would be a signing I'd get if we couldn't get Fabregas.

Yeah, was thinking about the same thing with Fabregas and his directness. It also goes to a point that qua made, most of the time english imports do best at Real Madrid rather than Barcelona, because Madrid are usually a team who play quick and direct on the counter attack, something that suits the premier league. They're good at ball retention for the most part but that's not their main strength while like you said Barca use ball retention as defending.

I'd like to go for Kroos next year though, if we can get him for free next year then I would take him in a heartbeat. I think we still need another WC player to rotate. Although I've noticed that Mourinho generally likes to have small teams with distinct first team players and distinct backups. You don't see him in charge of a Bayern Munich and our Chelsea side had an obvious first team when he first came.
I'll be honest, I'm starting to dislike Chelsea at the moment. This style of changing and rotating the whole squad every season is unbearable. I can't even recognise the style of play Chelsea adopt any more, sure Salah and Matic may well be good signings, but we can't just sign players in our weakest areas. Players like Oscar, Schurrle, Willian are still new and haven't had time to adapt to the PL, they will still improve. Signing Fabregas is a waste of money when we already have plenty of quality in midfield. Plus with the midfield players coming back from loan, there are simply too many top quality midfielders in one squad.

Lampard leaving is the end of an era, one which I will miss. I would be much happier watching our 3 CAMs being Hazard, Oscar and Willian/Schurrle next season, instead of the likes of Salah and Fabregas.

Because he's worth nothing close to a world record fee for a midfielder I see people mention on here for him obviously

Fabregas will be playing deep...you don't have a lot of quality there unless you want another season of Ramires starting there or maybe mikel? You need another midfielder imo because if fabregas gets injured you're ****ed again

Mourinho's sweeping changes. Comes with the territory I guess.

He's been given free reign over the squad, and he's taking advantage of it. I'm not a fan of it. Just having to accept what's being done and see how well the team performs I guess.

I don't think I have any real 'favourites' in the team.

Mikel might be up there. One of the longest-servants of the club still playing for the team.

Fabregas will play deeper, or we'll change to a 4-3-3 with Oscar and Fabregas playing in front of Matic.

So it's essentially the same team as last season but with the areas where we're weak(striker and Central/defensive midfield) massively improved. Would also say that if we play 4-3-3 then selling Mata makes sense. He wouldn't have anywhere to fit there. On the wing he was good but not good enough defensively.

Personally at the start of last season I was a bit annoyed with Mourinho's transfer dealings but since then Chelsea have made very good business. Salah ain't going to play, he's going to be on the bench hopefully

I see, I do like Ramires and Mikel but I can see how they might not be the most exciting players to watch. Mikel is more of a safeguard, and is a solid CDM while Ramires is a ball winner and does the dirty work. I wouldn't mind seeing either of them partner Matic, but Matic next to Fabregas might be a dangerous combination.

You have a point, I guess Mourinho is still mainly operating on players which aren't his.

I do enjoy watching Mikel, and I believe he is massively underrated by a lot of supporters. He has a bad game or 2 and everyone is on his case.
