the gravel question my answer was like £750 roughly

what i did was 11*4=44

then 6 converted to 0.6m3

then 0.6*44=26.4

i then divided 26.4 by 0.4 which gave me 66

then 66* the gravel price and found 30% of that which gave me around £700

can someone please tell me out of 5 marks how many i would get cheers

I'm sure 5.6 recurring is fine.

You didn't convert 6cm into metres I'm assuming.

That should be okay, not entirely sure though.

I feel so f**king dumb!

Your right, I did 11x4x6 instead of 11x4x0.06!

How many marks would I lose if did that from the very beginning? if any?

Mr M... Just realised I used pie-r-squared to find the volume of the hemisphere, would I still get a mark for the cone? Also, for the simultaneous quadratic, I got the wrong answer but I got the quadratic and factorised it but that was wrong. How many marks would I get there?

x = 6 and y = 0

x = -3.6 and y = -4.8 (5 marks)

Hello Mr M I was wondering for 2c I got 7 how many marks would I get, for 5 I put it was a translation but got (-3/5) also for 25 I didn't times it by 10 I did it with 14, how many marks would I get and also for 26 I got up to 5y^2+24y=0 how many marks would I get

No idea, sorry.

Ask Mr M when he gets back.

x²+y²=36
x=2y+6

Therefore (2y+6)²+y²=36
5y²+60y+36 i got 60 somehow by adding all the values when i expanded and simplified

then
5y²+24y+36=0 as i -36 from 60

would i get 1 2 or 3 marks s after this i went completely wrong

where did you get 60 from ?

Will he reply? Since he will have an extremely large amount of students asking questions.

I'm sure he will. He is going to be very overwhelmed though, so be patient.

So, what do you think the grade boundaries will be according to these papers
I got a 63 in the first paper and a 65, so could this be an A?

As there is no constant, c = 0

Therefore you must multiply by zero.

Between 120 to 130 on both papers. Depends on how hard the paper was.

1. Everything after 0.66*44 is incorrect (not mathematically but in reference to the question)
Anyone know the grade for An A... I think i'm on border.. really scared

Here is my working out via quadratic equation.

y2+x2=36
x+2y=6

y=(0.5x-3)

so (0.5x-3)(0.5x-3) + x2 = 36
(0.5x-3)2 = 0.25x2 -3x + 9 + x2 = 36
1.25x2 - 3x - 27 = 0

Put into quadratic equation:

3+/- [sqrt(9-4*1.25*-27)] / 2.5

3+/- sqrt(144) / 2.5
3+/- 12 / 2.5

x = 6 or -3.6
factored in x values into equations
y = 0 or -4.8
