Best accommodation for Sheffield University?

I'm about to apply to live in halls for my first year at Sheffield university. I'd like to know if there are any significant advantages and disadvantages to the three options: Endcliffe village, Ranmoor village, and City/Central campus accommodation. Positive or negative input alike is welcome.

Try posting in the Sheffield uni forum for more replies (this isn't for specific uni accomodation queries) but from what I learnt when I was considering Sheffield a couple of years ago

Endcliffe= bigger & more sociable & more oversubscribed
Ranmoor= quieter
City/Central= most international students so most likely really quiet

Advantages depend on what you want really. And do check with current students to see if its still the same as I looked a few years ago now!
