Phew. Not going mad then. But what's this talk of eggy bread and french toast being one and the same?


i dunno whats going on.
i know when my nan got me french toast from sainsburys it was thin and crunchy or cripsy (i cant remember) and im sure it had no sort of egg on it or in it.

I call that Melba Toast. In my view eggy bread/french toast are the same thing!:biggrin: Except forget this salad cream/cinnamon/sugar thing!! Ketchup is the only thing!!:biggrin:

eggy bread and french toast so arent the same thing.
ive had french toast quite a few times and its totally different to eggy bread, i dont see how its the same. :confused:

French toast and eggy bread are the same thing... melba toast is a very thin, tiny little slice of toast that is french!!!

Personally, I like to leave the bread to soak in the egg for a minute of two then cook and eat it plain!!!! Yum Yum Yum!
