Yeah but capitalism will fail we should try to jump ship before it's too late

Maybe. It is possible but surely if you brainwash for the right reason its still ok

Aph, they are right. I don't agree with capitalism really, I do feel it is unfair but it is the best system we can have there should just be higher taxes etc everywhere so that society can distribute wealth a bit more equally. The Muslim principle of Zakat is meant to be this annually 2.5% of the wealth of people above a certain threshold is given to charity, if everybody did this I'm sure the world would be much better. Communism and socialism are all great in concept, Yay equality, but they can never and will never work.

You think capitalism is wrong but taking away free will isn't? Just because you think something is "right" or "good" doesn't mean everybody else agrees, we may as well live in a dictatorship, this is a democracy for a reason, everybody gets a vote. This is the stupidest idea I've heard for a while. That's not to mention it's not even possible and what could go wrong.

Yeah and this is why I said you're naive if you think this would ever work. Even if you were to become PM and have the right intentions, the people around you may not. Your closest advisor may not. As I said earlier, humans are selfish and greedy. Maybe you are different but a large majority aren't.

What are you talking about?
Original post by Aph
Sorry I was thinking about kim Kardashian:hmpf:
No but without them you couldn't have the doctors and lawyers because we wouldn't have food we wouldn't have medical instruments.
The backbone of society should get the mist

Posted from TSR Mobile

Kim Kardashian was not a porn star. Now she's a successful businesses woman contributing honestly the economy of America.

Where would humanity be today without doctors and engineers? No where! Anyone can grow food if given the time. Hell even the doctors themselves would do it if they can. There is nothing special about doing something on a large scale which nature can do on its own.

The second point already shows why farmers etc are not the backbone of society; lawwyers, doctors, politicians and engineers are, hence they are paid highly.

How naive are you really? It's never gonna happen so there's no point wine thinking it will, you cannot be a pessimist but you cannot be an idealist either. Being a realist is the best thing to do.

Sex made her career:rolleyes:
Where would your engineers be without miners? And are you seriously suggesting that doctors have the time to grow food?
You seem to think that the moment you get to uni you can look down on everyone and anyone who didn't go or goes to a 'lesser' uni. Oh and your doctors and lawyers came from philosophers and so aren't STEM. politics does not require politicians oh and I'd love to see you dig up all the things you need to build your house and grow all the food you need to survive

Why do engineers need miners? Engineers can be miners, they have equipment and do it themselves. But amines could not be an engineer. Engineers create a world which never was.

Doctors are stem, lawyers aren't but they aren't really philosophers. Anybody can do philosophy it isn't really hard, everybody has an opinion. In fact physics and philosophy or maths and philosophy are very popular joint honours.

If you're saying somebody with a masters or a PhD in Engineering couldn't use tech to build a house you are not thinking straight.
It isn't hard to grow fruit and veg, yeah you might be on a crappy diet that would be boring but you'd survive.

Not everybody accepts things need to change. A lot if not most people are perfectly happy. And then you have the fact that nothing can really be done, you don't have a plan, you are just complaining that this system isn't good enough without a better solution. If you don't have a solution you think to the current system because it's better than anarchy. You don't need pessimists and idealists, not really, when you think of it, one realist is worth one of each ( a pessimist and idealist)

He is:yep:
But most would take the veiw that manual labor is beneath them any they wouldn't be trained.
My point was that all modern society was built in the foundation of the great philosophers like Aristotle and law, medicine and basically everything else came from their ideas.
Yes but this technology was made by someone else who had to pay someone else to pay someone else to mine the minerals to make the tec that they'd use. Basically my point is everyone depends on eachother but money makes some people toi dependent.
But you also need protien and you'd have to put so much work into growing so little.
But a lot of people don't think or care about politics. Well I do but it requires technological advancement.
